Taylor & I flew to Albuquerque this week for a few days to visit my older sister Alyson and her husband Todd but especially to surprise her children, Emma (10), Abbi (8) and Ian (5). Abbi especially has been dying to meet Taylor and even had been saving her money for an American Girl doll but decided she would put her $74 dollars towards a plane ticket to come to Houston. Then she saw all the destruction in Galveston after Hurricane Ike and so touched by the hardships, she gave her money to charity to help Ike victims. Abbi turned 8 on Sunday and will be baptized in a few weeks but I am not able to go then so we decided Taylor & I would go visit right after Abbi's birthday. Boy, they were all surprised as Alyson & I showed up at their school during lunch!!!!

Aunt Alyson & Taylor - her first snow!!! It snowed so much on Monday that the kids had a snow day on Tuesday - it was perfect for us to stay home together, watch movies, play games, snuggle and make cookies.
