So Thankful!

I am fortunate to have a job that allows some flexibility to do things like attend Taylor's Thanksgiving party at school. And these are a few pictures we took today on a gorgeous sunny Sunday afternoon today. So grateful for these beautiful funny happy little girls in our lives!

Dress up attire is always first choice for Taylor!

Thank You Mitt For Being Willing to Serve Our Country

These are my mint brownies that were renamed "Mitt Romneys" a few years ago when our dear friend Mason thought I called them that instead! We love mitt romneys to eat and we are pretty disappointed that Mitt did not win. In fact, our lawn sign is still in our yard - maybe it will come down when the Christmas lights come on. I do think he was running for office to truly serve, not for a career move. And it will be hard to have a more family focused, charitable/financially generous and hard working and moral leader than Mitt. I have several friends that know him and Ann personally and how he has lead himself too, I know he is geniune. I have always liked his fiscal responsibility, but more than the fiscal cliff that we are heading for, I'm really worried about the lower the bar on moral behavior and choices that our society is making. Its really disheartening. More hope and prayer and action on my part to make a positive difference.

Halloween!

Our annual trip to the pumpkin patch!

 King John and his Princesses!

Tatum had to try a piece of candy at every house! Luckily we only went to a few houses but she still threw up that night!

Chicago!

I had a business trip to Chicago and Taylor's cousin, Amelia, that is closest to her age just so happened to move from the suburbs into the downtown area just blocks from Buckingham Fountain! So for Taylor's birthday she got a plane ticket and a trip to visit Amelia. While I worked, my dear sister, took the kids all over the city!
Sunday night when we landed we had a fun reunion with some close girlfriends that live in the area and their children. It was so fun to have us all together for a bit! Here is Taylor with Catie and Maddie
Taylor and Eleanor
Linda, Heather, Dicy & Nancy!
We had a fun program at work where Jerry from "Ben & Jerry's" came and spoke about collaboration and innovation. And we had ice cream. At 9am in the morning. It was great. And I told Jerry all about our devotion to the brand in the early years (all the t-shirts, pilgrimage to VT, Marilyn's B&J party, Vermonsters, etc)

Amelia & Taylor

City living! And it was cold so here they are bundled up to walk to Michigan Avenue
We love the bean at Millenium Park!!
We avoided the American Girl store but had fun at the Disney Store!
It was lots of first for Taylor - first taxi, first bus, first subway! She has been on them as a baby, but this was the first time she remembers.
We did sneak away for breakfast at the Bongo Room! Red Velvet Pancakes and Apple French Toast
No trip to Chicago is finished without Garretts Popcorn!!!

We had such a fun trip together - Taylor was a great traveler, we loved seeing our cousins and are so grateful that Marilyn did all the heavy lifting!
