DC North, Spanish speaking.....

We were fortunate enough to be at the Brannings the evening Mason opened his mission letter that states where he will serve his mission - this is a pretty big deal after so much anticipation of where in the world you could be asked to serve! We are so excited for him. Mason has been to DC with us twice and of course I am biased since I was raised there but it is an amazing place! He will start his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in January with a 2 month crash course in Spanish at the Missionary Training Center (MTC) and then move to the DC area for two years. Woohoo!

Fun at the Zoo!

We have a zoo membership this year so we decided to take advantage of the early admission on Saturday mornings once a month. That way its not so crowded or so hot! It was fun to go for two hours and then leave and have brunch downtown before heading back by 11am! I had just got my new lens (my 10 year Dow anniversary gift that I chose!) for the camera and had fun trying it out.

This dog was actually a model of the carousel's donor's personal pet!

Waiting for us on the carousel!
