Big Milestones for Jordan

Jordan had the opportunity to attend the LDS temple in Houston last month in preparation for his mission. Johnathan was able to come from BYU and his mom came too from NC. Such a great time for Jordan as he prepares for his mission to Spokane, Washington. Love those Turner men!

It also was the night before Mason left to go on his mission. These guys will overlap in the Missionary Training Center for 2 weeks prior to Mason going to Washington DC. Both are learning Spanish. So excited for them both!

Happy Valentines Day!

The girls loved getting their balloon when they woke up in the morning! Dad had picked them out for them.  We tied Tatum's to a ring toy so it wouldn't be a choking hazard!

The girls in their heart outfits!
Valentines Dinner - heart pizzas and heart jello jigglers~

 Breakfast the Saturday before Valentines!
A few of our decorations - my heart cookie cutter collection and antique heart chocolate molds and pans.
Much love to you!!!

New Forms of Communication

When we were on Face Time with Johnathan at BYU, Tatum noticed him and crawled right up to the screen. She loves touching his face and babbling with him! Got to love technology!

Happy Year of the Dragon!

We had so much fun attending the Chinese branch of our church's annual Chinese New Year dinner. The food is always great and so is the entertainment. It helps me brush up on my Mandarin and go back to "my roots!" Its great to have our family exposed to this fabulous culture and their traditions.
I struggled to get a picture of the girls looking at me. Tatum kept escaping too! Don't you love their dresses? I bought those as a student in Nanjing the summer of 1994 so they are pretty old but so fun to pull out. I knew Tatum's would fit but it was great for Taylor to fit into a "Mulan" dress!

Mason usually attends with us but since he is on his mission, his little brother Mackey filled in - so fun to keep the tradition going!
The lion dance and drums were great - Tatum was very into it!

Mama Kong helped Taylor put a red envelope in the lion's mouth!
Loved watching the elders sing Karoake!
They made these cute dragons to take home. Such a fun night!

Indoor Picnic Day!

We had our annual indoor picnic celebration and Jordan happened to be home for it! This is the anniversary of our engagement when John planned to have a picnic in the park where we went on our first date. Due to the rain, instead he set it up in my apartment to surprise me when i came home from a business trip to India. He got the key from my friend who was gathering my mail and our dear friend and matchmaker Pam helped with all the details! So every year we celebrate to remember that perfect day!
Tatum was not going to be left out!
