Touring Temple Square in Salt Lake City

We spent some time on Temple Square in Salt Lake City on our drive back from Idaho. This is where the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is headquartered. It is always nice to walk around, enjoy the gardens and beautiful art in the visitor centers. Spencer had not been before so that was fun to share it with him.

Inside the tabernacle that was built over 100 years ago. Twice a year our prophet and church leaders hold "General Conference" where they give talks on relevant topics for the members. You can attend in person or it is broadcasted around the world. No facility can hold the number of people needed, but recently they built a new conference center that seats 21,000. It is a beautifully amazing building. They also hold many cultural events and concerts. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir performs in these 2 buildings.
