Catching up with More Turner Cousins!

We continued the tour spending time with John's sisters and all our cousins. We had lunch with Jodie. Here are her children with Tatum - Brody, Tatum & Sydney

The Hogle Zoo

We had a great time playing at the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake with John's sister Jackie and her children. John was excited to see the same elephant that was there when he was a child - the elephant has been there for 50 years! Tatum was a great sport

Tatum looks a lot like Rogan's baby pictures!

Sisters Weekend

We had the opportunity to meet up with all of John's sisters and mom in St. George earlier in the summer. It was so fun to visit with everyone and enjoy great food, shopping and The Little Mermaid at the beautiful Toucahan outdoor theatre. Taylor loved it and gave running commentary throughout the show!

Graduation Weekend

Graduation weekend started with watching Jordan play with his band one last time at a coffee shop near Chapel Hill, NC. Who brings a 2 year old to these things?! We do! They were great and Taylor loved it! Tatum too! Taylor yelled out, "Hi Doe Doe! Doe Doe is my friend!". One of the band members turned to Jordan and asked who is that (referring to the only 2 year old fan in the audience) and he replied, "my little sister!"

Dear Friends

We also spent time with our dear friends while at Jordan's graduation. The Christensens have been so good to us - we often stay with them and love all the play time! Here we are playing together at the graduation BBQ.

We also had a fun sushi lunch with the crew that Saturday. Yum! Everyone enjoyed trying new things and loved it.

These kids adore Jordan! Tanner looks to him for break dancing moves and these little girls think he is a rock star! Jordan is pretty patient and loving in return!

The Man

In addition to graduating high school this past weekend, Jordan received the Melchezidek priesthood and is now an elder. He has such a great spirit about him and we are proud of how he lives his life. Here he is with John and Grandpa Jack Turner.

Happy Graduation, Jordan!

Jordan is a high school graduate as of June 12, 2011! He did it and with flying colors!

Playdates

We are fortunate to have good friends who had Taylor over for playdates when Tatum was born. Now that I'm feeling better but am still on maternity leave, its been fun to return the favor!

A Shout Out for Jordan!

This blog seems to focus on little ones and not much else going on in our family. So here is a shout out for our Jordan that is long overdue. Jordan is a hard worker, incredibly talented musician and artist, hilarious sense of humor, stylish, fun loving, tender hearted and humble guy. He is a great example and friend to many. He lives his religion and strives to be better. He is a great big brother and Taylor loves her Doe Doe - "He's my friend!" and constantly talks about him.

We are in North Carolina this weekend to celebrate his high school graduation. We are also celebrating his accomplishments - he starts at BYU next week for summer term, been accepted into their highly competitive music program and also just made the drumline for the BYU marching band! He has received scholarships for the music program and the drumline as well as just received the Apex HS Band Booster scholarship. Its so nice to have his hard work and talent recognized this way! He also received the Apex HS Louie Armstrong Jazz award. And for his great fashion sense, he also received the best dressed male student award at Apex HS - an award that his Dad received his senior year of high school as well!

What a face! We love him!

We look forward to you next chapter, Jordan, and all the amazing things you'll accomplish and the experiences to come!

Six Weeks

Tatum is becoming more alert and interactive and is smiling some too! Her skin has cleared up. Her reflux medication is helping so she is happier and in less pain. She is sleeping well at night - only waking once. She is such a joy!
