Disney Adventures

We slipped away to the Magic Kingdom for President's day weekend! It worked out well since I had a training course in Tampa the week before and a conference in Orlando right after President's day we had a great family vacation packed into three days! Jordan flew in after John, Taylor and Mason arrived and we played hard!Taylor talked for week about seeing Mickey and Minnie and that she did! She was so thrilled!She had to show Minnie her cute Minnie shirt that KelleyAnne made for her!

We caught up with Goofy the Pirate after coming out of Pirates of the Caribbean. Taylor liked that one - but The Haunted Mansion was a bit much for her....what were we thinking?!Jessie & Woody were actually the first characters she met and she was beside herself waiting!

We had dinner in the UK and dessert in France at Epcot that evening and met Belle along with our cute little friends from Venezuela that were in line with us!

We made it back to the Magic Kingdom in time for the fireworks and Electric Light Parade. What an amazing show that Taylor loved!


She was so excited to see Cinderella and was happy to know that we had lunch plans with her on the Monday!
Hi Tinkerbell!Monday morning we started our day early and went to Hollywood Studios to check out the sites. Taylor was thrilled to see more characters!She was thrilled to have another visit with Minnie and that they "matched" - Taylor is all about matching these days!

Then we went to Epcot and changed into our princess dress to attend the princess luncheon in Norway. First stop was a photo op with Belle.

There was a princess procession through the whole restaurant and Taylor was thrilled she held "Slip Birdy's" hand. She still talks about it a week later. Of course she had to show off her dress to each of the princesses.

Jordan and Mason got their own photo shoot as well! Taylor was the most excited about Cinderella (though it doesn't show here!) as she had a "matching" dress. I'm so glad I picked this dress up at the Disney store right after Halloween for a steal! The dress prices otherwise are riduculous!

Ariel was pretty popular as well.....we watched her "show" at Hollywood Studios twice!

She was not that into Alice but still was happy to meet her. The food was great and they made the event special - Taylor was on cloud nine and she wouldn't take her dress off after lunch so we paraded around Epcot the rest of the day in it!

After plenty of time with the princesses, the guys ran off to some cool rides and Taylor & I hung out with Nemo and rode that ride twice too!Our little princess finally zonked that afternoon as we were hanging out in Japan listening to the Taiko drums. We then moved down to Germany and all took a rest and had some treats!
We visited China and Mexico and then called it a day. What at an adventure we had! Truly a great trip and fun memories of Taylor's first visit to Disney!

Thanksgiving Adventures Out West

We flew to Salt Lake City for Thanksgiving where we were greeted with snow as soon as we landed. Taylor loved playing outside since she doesn't get to snow very often!We had a great visit in Grantsville with Shellie and Jodie's families. Taylor loved their dogs and thought the kennel was really cool too!

We enjoyed a huge thanksgiving dinner with over 50 members of the Turner family. It was so fun to visit and enjoy all the great food!

The next step of the trip driving to Scipio to visit Aunt Tonia and Uncle Loyal and then on to St. George to see Aunt Robin and Uncle Howard at their new house. Last stop - Las Vegas for the Bunker family reunion.We had a bit of exploring under the big lights with Alyson and Marilyn's families.

Here is John, Taylor, Emma & Abbi Lots of fun visits with cousin Chelle and Aunt Eileen - in fact all of mom's siblings were in town for the reunion and it was so fun to hear all their stories. Marilyn, Michelle & Chelle did an amazing presentation of my great great grandmother, Mary McQuarrie. In fact, Marilyn (and Amelia!) & Michelle went to Scotland a year ago to learn more about her. As part of the reunion, we put together school kits for humanitarian aid. Abbi was so good to help Taylor participate! John & Uncle Mike got to do all the heavy lifting Cousin Amelia is adorable Mom & Marilyn
Emma & Abbi were so good to Taylor. It was finally pay day to have their help since I use to watch them when I was the single aunt!

Reflections 2010

Happy Thanksgiving! Wishing you all the joy of family and friends, good food and great conversations. As we prepare our hearts for the celebration of our Savior's birth, we wanted to also reflect on our many blessings of this year. Our lives continue to be full with many things, but most of all, great family and friends. John continues to be the Director of Occupational Therapy at Memorial Hermann. Heather took on an additional role this summer as Marketing Director for the Plastics Sustainability team at Dow. Johnathan has hit his one year mark in the mission field and loves his time in the Dominican Republic. Jordan is a senior in high school playing as much music as he can as the head of the drum line, choir and adding piano lessons into the mix. And our Little Miss continues to be a great joy to us all, even at the age of 2! And we are happy to announce we will have another little Turner join us in the Spring. We love our service at church, especially with the youth group. So with family, church, work and a few house projects, our lives are full but fun - we love this journey and are so grateful for the Lord's hand in our lives. Where to start?! I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all that we have. Sometimes John & I pinch ourselves and feel spoiled with our many blessings. And don't you love our family of turkeys?! Taylor loves having her hand traced and so we all did it and she decorated them with the feathers.

Senior Night & Cary Band Days

It was Senior Night for the band members the same weekend of Cary Band Days Parade & competition so we made the trek again to cheer him on. It is always a fun event and we always love our time with Jordan. Can't believe its Jordan's turn to be a senior!
