Spring Break in the Mayan Riviera (Cancun)

John & I went to Cancun & Playa del Carmen for our honeymoon and had a blast! Several of the places we went (Chichen Itza, Ik Kil cenote, Xelha) we thought how much the boys would enjoy it so when Uncle Loren & Aunt Joanne generously offered to let us use their time share in Playa del Carmen this year, we booked our frequent flyer miles and made our plans. The condos are big, sleeping 9 people so we invited our dear friends from Houston, the Brannings. Here are some pictures from our adventures on the Mayan Riviera (it sounds so much better than Cancun which we actually never made it to!)

John and I went on a day tour with Helaman Tours (http://www.helamantours.com/) last year - (its great because they can share a historical perspective with the native americans in the Book of Mormon). Helaman's son, Nephi, was our tour guide. We had such a great day, we repeated the tour with Nephi this year and visited the ancient Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza and Tulum. We also went to a gorgeous cenote, Ik Kil, near Chichen Itza. It was a fabulous day!
